Both men wanted for allegedly stealing an ATM from a Downtown business on Christmas Eve have been arrested, the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday.

Raymond Fields III, 59, of Pittsburgh was apprehended Thursday night without incident at a residence along the 2600 block of South 18th Street on Pittsburgh’s South Side, according to the report.

Dominic Troiani, 66, of McKees Rocks was apprehended Friday after detectives located him in a vehicle at the BP station along East Carson Street.

Troiani attempted to flee, narrowly missing a detective, but was later taken into custody without further incident once additional sheriff’s units arrived, according to the report.

Fields and Troiani allegedly stole the machine from the Standard Market and Pint House along Penn Avenue.

Fields is also facing bench warrants for not showing up for two preliminary hearings for theft charges, and another bench warrant for violating probation on a 2022 burglary conviction.

Troiani faces four bench warrants for theft and burglary.

Fields was arrested after detectives found his car along South 18th Street. They then saw Fields’ girlfriend go into a nearby home.

Detectives and deputies then converged on the address. The woman told detectives Fields had left.

But the sheriff’s office said detectives searched the home and found a crawl space in the basement leading to a home next door, where Fields was found after a brief search.

Both men were taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
