A man shot last week in Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighborhood died late Monday.

Bryon Lewis, 36, of Pittsburgh was shot in the chest around 1 a.m. Friday outside a home in the 400 block of Omega Court, according to authorities.

First responders took Lewis to UPMC Presbyterian hospital in critical condition, authorities said.

He died there around 10 p.m. on Monday, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Pittsburgh police believe the shooting occurred inside a home after an altercation.

The incident remains under investigation.

A police spokeswoman did not respond to an email Tuesday seeking comment.
