Brandon West, 29, of Pittsburgh is charged in an October 2021 shooting that critically wounded a victim in Lincoln-Lemington.

Brandon West, 29, of Pittsburgh is charged in an Oct. 24 shooting that critically wounded a victim in the city’s Lincoln-Lemington neighborhood.

West was arrested by the city’s Fugitive Task Force. He is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, robbery, carrying a firearm without a license and driving with a suspended license.

According to city police, the male victim, whom authorities haven’t identified, was shot in the torso while walking home. The shooting was reported shortly after 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of Lincoln and Lemington avenues.

Officers rendered aid to the victim before he was taken in critical condition to a nearby hospital.

Police did not have updated information on his condition late Thursday.

According to court documents, West was placed in the Allegheny County Jail and was denied bail by District Judge James Motznik because the defendant is considered a danger to the community.

West faces a preliminary hearing May 3 in Pittsburgh Municipal Court.
