Science fiction icon William Shatner, best known as Capt. James T. Kirk on the original “Star Trek” series, is the keynote celebrity appearing this weekend at the pop-culture memorabilia show, Steel City Con.
Fellow Star Trek crewmate Walter Koenig (Pavel Chekov) will also be on hand.
For fans of the American television series, “The Office,” they can meet five of the staffers of Dunder Mifflin Paper Co.: Brian Baumgartner (Kevin Malone), Kate Flannery (Meredith Palmer), Creed Bratton (Creed Bratton), Leslie David Baker (Stanley Hudson) and Oscar Nunez (Oscar Martinez).
Never say die as “The Goonies” stars Corey Feldman (Clark “Mouth” Devereaux) and Ke Huy Quan (Richard “Data” Wang) will appear during the convention.
In addition to hundreds of vendors, there is also a trivia contest, celebrity question/answer session and guest panels. On Sunday, there is a costume contest in different age groups, including cash prizes.
Not all celebrities will be appearing all three days, so check the website for details. Shatner will be there Friday and Saturday only and Feldman will be there Saturday and Sunday only.
