A male victim was in stable condition after a shooting Thursday night in Pittsburgh’s Upper Hill, city police said.

Police initially found no evidence of gunfire when they responded at about 7:20 p.m. to a Shotspotter alert for the 3100 block of Iowa Street.

Then they were told about the victim, whom they found with a gunshot wound to the leg in the 800 block of Anaheim Street. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital.

A blue sedan was seen fleeing the scene at high speed, police said.

Additional details weren’t immediately available.
