Pittsburgh police arrested a man after officers responded to a shots fired call around 4 p.m. Wednesday in Market Square.

No injuries were reported.

Police said the suspect, who they did not identify, was arrested on a firearms charge after a brief foot chase.

Police were alerted to two suspects, and detained the men along the 200 block of Boulevard of the Allies. A weapon was found nearby, authorities said.

One of the men was taken to the Allegheny County Jail and the other was released, police said.

The incident remains under investigation.
