Pennsylvania Sen. Lindsey Williams (D-Allegheny)

Faced with increasing questions about the covid-19, state Sen. Lindsey Williams announced Monday that she will host a tele-town hall at 7 p.m. Tuesday featuring Dr. Arvind Venkat, president of the Pennsylvania College of Emergency Physicians.

“The covid-19 outbreak here in Allegheny County and across the country has raised many questions for all of us,” Williams (D-West View) said. “Having Dr. Venkat available is a great opportunity to hear from an expert on emergency medicine about what we should and shouldn’t be focusing on as we work together as a community to keep ourselves and each other safe.”

To register for the event go to SenatorLindseyWilliams.com/townhall.

Although her district staff will be working remotely until further notice, Williams said constituents may contact the office between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday at 412-364-0469 for any issues, including questions about the covid-19 response.

Williams said the “Hearing from the Future: Student Voices in Education” policy hearing scheduled for March 26, 2020 is postponed until further notice.
