Round Hill Spray Park reopens after weeklong closure

Round Hill Spray Park is reopening on Friday after having been closed for a week, the Allegheny County parks and health departments announced.

The Elizabeth Township spray park had been closed since Aug. 2 because bacteria levels in the water exceeded Health Department regulations.

The system was drained of water, cleaned and refilled with fresh water, which the county said was “super-chlorinated” to sanitize all plumbing and fixtures.

The Allegheny County Parks and Health departments announced today that the Round Hill Spray Park will reopen to the public on Friday, August 9.

The Health Department tested the water and approved reopening it.

The park is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Spray park tips

Dogs are prohibited;
Reporting of any fecal or vomiting incidents is required; and
Infants in diapers or children still in training must wear pool/swimming diapers or pool-approved protective covers over diapers or training garments.
