Ross Township police are seeking the public’s help locating a man wanted for allegedly firing a gun at his former girlfriend and her new boyfriend as she drove to work.
An arrest warrant was issued Thursday for Clinton Wesley Lance, 28, of Braddock, who is accused of harassing and threatening the woman after she obtained a protection from abuse order against him, according to Ross police.
Lance is accused of sending his girlfriend harassing and threatening text messages Sept. 25 and using the Facetime video calling app to show her a gun. Police say Lance threatened to find the woman, whose name was not released, at work and shoot her.
Investigators say Lance then parked his car in a dark area near the health-care facility where the woman worked and fired six shots as she and her boyfriend drove past.
The couple told authorities that they recognized Lance’s vehicle and saw the muzzle flashes as he fired. No other employees were near the facility when the shots were fired and there were no injuries reported.
Lance has been charged with two counts each of making terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment.
Anyone with information that can lead police to his arrest is asked to call 911.
