Rivers Casino, The Meadows to reopen next week
Rivers Casino is set to reopen next week.
The North Shore gambling site will open its doors to patrons again at 9 a.m. June 9, according to a release.
Restaurant and gaming floor capacity will be limited to 50% occupancy to comply with state guidelines and promote social distancing. Occupancy will be managed via a customer counter at its entrances, according to the casino.
“The safety and well-being of our Team Members, our guests and the community are our top priority. We’re eager to welcome our friends and neighbors back to Rivers,” said Bill Keena, general manager of Rivers Casino.
Upon reopening, Rivers Casino will have new hours and will be open weekdays 9 a.m. to 4 a.m. and round-the-clock on weekends starting Fridays at 9 a.m. through Mondays at 4 a.m. During the hours the Rivers is closed, there will be a property-wide deep cleaning in addition to continuous sanitizing throughout each day, the release said.
Masks will be required for all guests and employees during open hours.
Rivers Casino has been closed since March 15 because of coronavirus precautions.
The Meadows also announced it would be reopening and is set to resume business at noon June 9.
Tony Frabbiele, vice president and general manager of the North Strabane casino, said the casino has been working closely with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, state and local leaders, and public health officials “to finalize comprehensive reopening protocols and new health and safety precautions.”
Additional details on the reopening and precautions being taken by The Meadows were not immediately available.
