Allegheny County police on Monday said they located a vehicle suspected of being involved in a Wilkinsburg homicide.

A 27-year-old man died Sunday after being shot in the head near the intersection of Ardmore Boulevard and Marlboro Avenue late that morning.

Officers were looking for a silver and green sedan in connection with the shooting.

Lt. Venerando Costa said Monday the vehicle, a Nissan Altima, was located in Hawkins Village in Rankin.

Officers also arrested Jordan Cobb, 23, of Clairton, in Rankin on probation violations, Costa said. Online court documents indicate Cobb has not been charged in connection with the fatal shooting.

“Cobb fled from detectives and entered an apartment in Hawkins Village,” Costa said in a news release. “Cobb was apprehended inside the apartment by homicide detectives. The investigation is ongoing.”

No further information was available.

Anyone with information concerning the shooting is asked to call the county police tip line at 1-833-255-8477. Callers can remain anonymous.
