Police looking for person who fled Turtle Creek shooting scene
A 17-year-old boy was treated and released from a local hospital after being shot Tuesday morning in Turtle Creek, Allegheny County police said.
Turtle Creek police and paramedics went to the 900 block of Oak Avenue around 8 a.m. in response to 911 calls about a shooting. The boy had a gunshot wound to a leg.
Detectives found there had been an altercation between neighbors.
One of those involved fled the area in a light blue, 2004 Kia Sorento with Pennsylvania plate KNJ 7261. Anyone seeing the vehicle should call 911 immediately, county police said.
Anyone with information concerning the incident is asked to call the Allegheny County Police tipline at 833-255-8477. Callers can remain anonymous.
