Someone fired a BB gun at a Woodland Hills High School bus in Turtle Creek on Friday afternoon, according to a message from the school district.

The message said a student leaving the bus was targeted and grazed by a BB on his hand, but no students were injured. A window was also shattered.

Superintendent James Harris confirmed the report Friday night, and that a separate bus was called to take the rest of the students to their stops.

Turtle Creek and Allegheny County police responded to the scene off of Grant Avenue, and have identified a person of interest.

Harris said the suspect is not a Woodland Hills student, but he and the boy that was grazed knew each other.

The incident remains under investigation.
