A Pittsburgh man was sentenced to 19 years and two months in federal prison for committing fentanyl and heroin trafficking and firearm crimes while on federal supervised release for previously trafficking heroin.
Authorities said Kevin Livsey, 32, was convicted of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, carfentanil, and heroin, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime and distribution of fentanyl and heroin.
He was sentenced by U.S. Circuit Judge D. Michael Fisher. He also was ordered to serve six years of supervised release following his prison sentence.
Livsey was on federal supervised release in 2018 following a prison sentence for prior federal convictions for distributing heroin. He also was previously convicted of heroin trafficking in 2010.
The FBI, the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, Pittsburgh Bureau of Police and the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office conducted the investigation leading to the convictions and sentence in this case.
