A man was shot in Pittsburgh’s Hill District neighborhood Thursday evening, police said.

Officers responded to the 1800 block of Colwell Street around 4:50 p.m. after a Shotspotter report of gunfire. When they arrived, officers said the man had gotten onto a Port Authority bus at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Dinwiddie Street.

The victim, who was shot in the abdomen, was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Officers searched for the suspect with the help of the bureau’s scent-tracking bloodhound but no leads were found.

Police continue to investigate.
