The High Occupancy Vehicle lanes along the Parkway North are scheduled to be closed Wednesday during the morning rush hour, PennDOT announced.

Plans call for closing off access to the lanes between 5 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sept. 4 while crews test new systems that were installed along the roadway.

The lanes were closed from April 2 to June 17 for major repairs that included concrete patching, paving, installation of an anti-icing system, reconstruction of curbs and islands, installation of fast-acting gates and new lane control system overhead signs.
