A man accused of killing his landlord following a dispute last year pleaded guilty Wednesday to voluntary manslaughter.

Michael Wolf, 50, of Garfield, will be sentenced by Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Edward J. Borkowski on Nov. 3. In addition to the manslaughter count, he also pleaded guilty to possessing instruments of crime.

Matthew Khoury, 37, was shot once in the chest in the 5100 block of Kincaid Street just after midnight on July 22, 2019.

Police said in a criminal complaint that Wolf called 911 to report the shooting, telling them that Khoury, who rented a room to him, had gone after him with a stun gun after an argument over back rent.

Wolf told responding officers, “’The guy tried to taser me, and I shot him.’”

He turned over a .380-caliber pistol to them, and officers said they found a stun gun on top of a wooden cabinet in the dining room.
