The popular Gaucho Parrilla Argentina restaurant, where patrons line up to enjoy wood-fired grill meats, is moving to a larger space in Pittsburgh’s Cultural District.

Gaucho announced on its Facebook page that it plans to move into the old Six Penn Kitchen space this spring or summer.

The restaurant, owned by Anthony Falcon, opened in February 2013.

Erica Isaac, general manager, said an exact date hasn’t been decided because they are doing some renovations to the new space.

She said they plan to hire more people to complement the staff they have in place. The kitchen is significantly larger so diners should look for new additions to the menu, Isaac said.

Gaucho is moving to a new location in Downtown Pittsburgh in the spring of 2020.

“We wanted to do something bigger and better,” Isaac said. “This new area will be great because of all of the offices there as well as being in the cultural district where there is great theater and so many events happening Downtown. We are very fortunate to have the support from Pittsburgh.”

Six Penn Kitchen, owned by Eat’n Park Hospitality Group, closed in 2018.
