A road in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood that was closed Friday morning because of a fallen tree has reopened
The large tree came down around 1 a.m. on Shady Avenue between Northumberland Street and Aylesboro Avenue, the Tribune-Review’s news partner, WPXI-TV, reported.
The tree was completely blocking the road, and wires were hanging down.
City officials said the road was reopened early Friday afternoon after crews worked to remove the tree and restore electricity.
The uprooted tree may have damaged at least two cars, the station reported.
