Dinosaur helps sell house in Pittsburgh's Stanton Heights

An inflatable dinosaur is helping to sell a house in Pittsburgh’s Stanton Heights neighborhood.

Sometimes, when selling a house, a little help is a good thing.

Of course, in the case of a home in Pittsburgh’s Stanton Heights neighborhood, it’s more of a “big” help.

Like dinosaur-size.

OK, so it’s not a real dinosaur. It’s just someone in an inflatable T-Rex costume.

And it’s hysterical.

A recent Zillow listing showing a home on Camelia Street looks quite pedestrian at first. Clicking through the photos shows your standard house.

The two-bedroom, two-bath 1,167-square-foot home is said to be “minutes from Downtown … sits on a fenced-in double lot and includes a detached garage.”

Until the dinosaur shows up.

The listing says there have been “many updates in the last few years.” Like a new roof, new flooring, new kitchen appliances, and, best of all, a T-Rex.

Realtor Nicole Chirdon, the listing agent with Berkshire Hathaway, says adding the dino was a no-brainer.

“These homeowners are so fun and easy going, and the house has such an amazing energy that I thought it would be a fun way to get looks at the listing,” Chirdon says.

“The house is awesome with so many updates, I knew it would sell itself,” Chirdon says. “I wanted to give it a little something extra to really make it stand out and give everyone a a little chuckle.”

The dino even makes a cameo in a video tour of the house posted to YouTube.
