CCAC to host enrollment open houses
Officials with the Community College of Allegheny County said it’s not too late to start thinking about taking summer classes or enrolling for this fall.
Information about such options will be available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 11 at CCAC open houses at all eight of its locations.
People who bring their high school transcript, college transcript or GED can complete their CCAC registration, take placement tests, meet with an adviser and learn about CCAC’s programs.
CCAC staff will be on hand to answer questions about admissions and enrollment procedures, financial aid options, transfer and career opportunities, and college services, sports, clubs and other activities.
Representatives of CCAC’s Allegheny Campus will conduct a student services fair and assist students with finalizing enrollment for the summer and fall semesters.
At its Boyce Campus, representatives will offer tours of available allied health and nursing labs.
North Campus representatives will offer program information and demonstrations on computer information technology; multimedia programming, simulation and gaming; English; psychology; biology; physics; and nursing.
South Campus representatives will host a student services fair and assist students with finalizing enrollment for the summer and fall semesters.
West Hills Center representatives will feature skilled trades programs such as automotive technology, mechatronics, welding, and heating and air conditioning. The center also will host a car cruise from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
