Carnegie Science Center is extending its popular Mummies of the World exhibition as the museum reopens after closing March 14 in the coronavirus shutdown.
Mummies of the World had been scheduled to end in April. The show, presented in the center’s PPG Science Pavilion, displays 125 mummies and related artifacts from around the world.
Carnegie Science Center is scheduled to reopen to the public on Monday.
Officials request that visitors wear face masks, abide by social distancing guidelines and sanitize their hands during their visit. They’re also encouraging visitors to use credit cards or touchless payment options, and purchase timed tickets in advance for general admission and for the Mummies of the World exhibit. The museum is temporarily eliminating online service charges.
To abide by social distancing guidelines, they will limit the number of visitors to 25 percent of regular capacity, according to a release from the museum.
The Rangos Giant Cinema will also reopen on Monday. All shows will be in 2D to avoid the use of 3D glasses. Capacity will be limited to 75 people per show.
Their summer camps will return on July 6 with greatly reduced capacity.
