Allegheny County reported no new coronavirus deaths Thursday, holding the countywide death toll at 139.

This comes after officials on Wednesday reported 12 more deaths and 19 additional cases of covid-19.

That was among the highest number of deaths reported in a single day; however, those deaths could have occurred any time since March 14, when the first case of the coronavirus was reported.

Officials on Thursday also reported six more covid-19 cases, bringing the countywide total to 1,551.

That’s compared to 15 additional cases and four deaths reported Tuesday and eight additional cases and one death reported Monday. There were three deaths and 48 additional cases reported in Allegheny County over the weekend.

The youngest person to have died from the coronavirus in Allegheny County was 42 years old and had underlying conditions, county officials said.

Officials on Thursday adjusted the number of hospitalizations in recent weeks from 285 to 283.

Of those hospitalizations in recent weeks, at least 117 people were admitted to an ICU and 67 have required a ventilator.

More than 22,000 people have been tested countywide, according to county health department data.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health is reporting that 373 residents and 108 staff members at 36 long-term care facilities in Allegheny County have tested positive for the coronavirus. There have been 109 deaths at those facilities.

The state added 938 new cases of the coronavirus Thursday, pushing the statewide total to 59,636. The state is reporting 4,218 deaths.
