One of the U.S. Marshal’s Pittsburgh office top 20 wanted fugitives was arrested Tuesday in Clairton.
Martin Correll, 30, was seen by Allegheny County detectives entering a residence at 315 Ohio St.
A county SWAT team, along with McKeesport and Clairton police, responded. Correll eventually came out of the residence and was arrested without incident.
He had three warrants for his arrest, including a bench warrant for state parole violations, one for failure to register as a sex offender and another for delivery of a controlled substance.
Correll, who has ties to Clairton, McKeesport and Duquesne, has been on the run since May 10, 2018.
Allegheny County narcotics detectives obtained a search warrant and discovered a firearm, a brick of heroin, numerous pills and $1,500 cash in Correll’s home.
He faces additional charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, person not to possess a firearm, four counts of possession with intent to deliver heroin and other drugs and five counts of possession of controlled substances.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 29 at McKeesport Magisterial District Judge Eugene Riazzi Jr.’s courtroom.
Online court documents indicate Correll was lodged in the Allegheny County Jail after he was unable to post $10,000 bond.
