Allegheny County reported 19 additional cases of the coronavirus Friday, bringing the total number of cases countywide to 1,870.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the total at 151.

The county earlier this week reported three consecutive days with no new deaths.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 162 deaths Friday, several more than reported by the county. Allegheny County officials have said that the reason for the difference is in the state’s reporting databases. The county has access to only one of the two systems from which the state collects its data.

Past or present hospitalizations increased by five to 336.

The majority of cases have been reported in people 25 and older. The youngest person to have died in Allegheny County was 42.

The first case was reported in the county March 14. Allegheny County moved to the yellow phase of Gov. Tom Wolf’s reopening plan May 15.
