Allegheny County on Wednesday reported 12 new cases of the coronavirus and one additional death.

This brings the total number of confirmed and probable cases in the county to 1,828 and deaths to 151.

The county previously reported three days in a row with no new deaths.

The state reported 160 deaths from the coronavirus in Allegheny County on Wednesday. County officials have said the reason for the difference is in the state’s reporting databases. The county has access to only one of the two systems from which the state collects its data.

Past or present hospitalizations increased by five, to 324.

The majority of cases have been reported in people 25 and older. The youngest person to have died in Allegheny County was 42.

The first case was reported in the county March 14. Allegheny County moved to the yellow phase of Gov. Tom Wolf’s reopening plan May 15.
