Two men and a teenage boy allegedly robbed two stores at gunpoint, then crashed into a utility pole while fleeing from police in Monroeville Thursday evening, according to McKeesport Police.

Deon Dutrieuille, 19, of Turtle Creek, Robert Webb, 23, of Homestead, and the 16-year-old are charged with robbery, theft and criminal conspiracy.

The alleged crime spree started shortly after 4 p.m., when the owner of the Happy Mini Mart convenience store in North Versailles called police to report several men had pulled into his parking lot in a silver Mercedes, put on ski masks, and left without getting out of their car.

Just before 5 p.m., the Crossroads Sunoco at 4600 Homestead Duquesne Road in West Mifflin was robbed, according to police.

Video surveillance shows Webb and the teenager enter the store, according to police. Webb took the money, and the teenager held a gun, police said.

The security footage showed the men fleeing in a silver Mercedes.

Around 5:45 p.m., the men robbed D’s Foodmart on Union Avenue in McKeesport, police said.

Once again the teenager held the gun while Webb took the money, according to police. The teenager allegedly grabbed two bags of potato chips as he fled the store.

Soon after the second robbery, police used traffic cameras to find the silver Mercedes speeding on Route 48.

Officers from the North Versailles and Monroeville police departments attempted to stop the vehicle.

The suspects fled, but didn’t make it very far, crashing into a utility pole around 6:10 a.m., according to police.

All three ran away but were quickly apprehended, police said. Investigators found cash, ski masks and two bags of potato chips near the crash site.

The crash snapped the utility pole, leaving about 40 residents without power Thursday evening, according to Tribune-Review news partner WPXI. Power was restored within a few hours.

A preliminary hearing for Dutrieuille and Webb is scheduled for Feb. 10 before District Judge Eugene F. Riazzi Jr.
