Clairton man dead, 1 injured in shooting outside city bar
A Clairton man has died and another man was injured as a result of a shooting outside a Clairton bar early Thursday.
Clairton police and paramedics went to the 400 block of St. Clair Avenue around 12:45 a.m. for a report of a 24-year-old man who had been shot in the foot. He was taken to a hospital in stable condition, Allegheny County Police said.
Officers were alerted to a second victim near St. Clair and Miller avenues who had been shot multiple times in the head. He was airlifted by helicopter to a trauma center, where he died.
Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased as Gregory Eason, 33.
Police learned Eason had been inside a bar on St. Clair Avenue. He left the bar and was shot multiple times while he was involved in a fight.
The 24-year-old was also outside the bar and was shot in the foot as he fled the scene, police said.
Police said they had no suspects and the motive was unclear.
