Man in critical condition after North Braddock shooting

A 38-year-old man was in critical condition after being shot multiple times in North Braddock, according to Allegheny County Police.

The shooting near 1529 Electric Ave. was reported to 911 around 11:53 p.m.Wednesday, police said.

The man, who had multiple gunshot wounds, was taken to an area hospital.

North Braddock police recovered a firearm.

County detectives learned the victim had been involved in a physical altercation with another man. At the same time, two women were in a second fight in the same area.

“The facts and circumstances that were known at the time of investigation have been presented to the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office,” county police said. “Pending a complete review of the investigation, no charges have been recommended at this time.”

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the county police tipline at 833-255-8477. Callers can remain anonymous.
