Four Pine-Richland seniors have been named 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program semifinalists: Luke Kastner, Jacob Lukez, Benjamin Rishel and Andrew Salvadore. High school juniors entered the 2023 National Merit Scholarship program by taking the 2021 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The nationwide pool of semifinalists represents less than 1% of U.S. high school seniors and includes the highest scoring entrants in each state.

• Aiden Miller, Jillian Bish, Daniel Farrell, Zachary Harrington, Bella Henzler, Garrett Krieger and Kaetlyn McCracken recently started their first semester at James Madison University.

• Savanna Wolf, Renee Waibel, Justin Groff and Hannah Moore were named to the president’s list for the summer 2022 semester at Southern New Hampshire University.

• Aidan Shumaker started his first semester at the University of Iowa. He plans to pursue a degree in actuarial science.

• Magdelyn English has enrolled at the University of Findlay. She is pursuing a degree in equestrian studies.
