Pine, Richland coronavirus cases continue to rise

As coronavirus cases continue to surge in Allegheny County and across the country, Pine and Richland townships are also seeing increases.

As of Jan. 13, there have been 666 total cases of the novel coronavirus in Pine Township since March, according to the latest information provided by an interactive Allegheny County covid-19 map. Six deaths have been reported, and 3,871 tests have been administered to Pine residents.

Pine Township’s case rate is 579 per 10,000 residents.

Since the pandemic began, Richland Township has had 591 total cases of the virus. In that time, Richland has seen 35 deaths, and 3,087 tests have been administered.

Richland’s case rate is 532 per 10,000 residents.
