Hundreds of people came out for the beginning of the Western Pennsylvania Juneteenth Homecoming Celebration Friday at Point State Park in Pittsburgh.

Rappers Hurricane Chris and KRS-One performed, as the event also featured many small businesses selling their merchandise. Arrested Development had been scheduled to perform but had to cancel due to a an illness in the band.

The event drew in a crowd of all ages, with numbers growing as the rappers performed.

The celebration runs through Monday, with more details available from Visit Pittsburgh.
