St. Barbara Parish to hold bingo

St. Barbara Parish on Raymaley Road, Harrison City, will host bingo at 6:45 p.m. April 13.

The bingo will feature a Must-Go $1400 jackpot; games with a prize of $110; winners of specials get $110; and the winner of the all-nighter gets $1,700.

The doors open at 5 p.m. and early bird games begin at 6:45 p.m. Paper packages start at $27.

There will be monitors and number boards for the players’ convenience.

The kitchen will be open and coffee is free. The church is handicapped-accessible.

Penn-Trafford Class of 1973 plans reunion

The Penn-Trafford Class of 1973, the first graduating class of Penn-Trafford High School, will hold a reunion on Aug. 5 at the Lamplighter Restaurant, Route 22, Salem Township.

A tour of Penn-Trafford High School is planned for 11:30 a.m. Aug. 5, with the reunion scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. with cocktails.

P-T athletic director gets certification

Penn-Trafford Athletic Director Kerry Hetrick has earned the designation of ‘Certified Master Athletic Administrator’ from the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.

Hetrick, who has served as Penn-Trafford’s athletic director since 2010, has a master’s degree in sports management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and has served in various athletic roles since 1995.

Hetrick’s latest achievement involved intense coursework and an oral project, which was evaluated and assessed by the NIAAA certification committee.

Trafford Elementary PTO to hold fundraiser

The Trafford Elementary PTO will hold a Night at the Races fundraiser at 6 p.m. April 21 at the Manchester Room, 414 Brinton Ave., Trafford.

Tickets are on sale for $25 and include food and beverages.The races start at 7 p.m.

There will also will be a silent auction.

All proceeds from the event will be used to raise money for a new playground at Trafford Elementary.

Penn-Trafford gets additional iPads through grant

A grant from the Penn-Trafford Community Education Foundation enabled student learning assistant Whitney Robosky to buy six iPads to use with her students at Sunrise Estates Elementary School.

Robosky will use the iPads to give her students extra practice with coding, math and reading skills.

The Penn-Trafford Community Education Foundation supports educational programs within the Penn-Trafford School District.
