Trafford Middle School
offers ‘Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr.’
The Trafford Middle School Drama Club will perform the musical “Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr.” at 7 p.m. March 25 and 26 at 2 p.m. March 27 in the middle school along Route 993 in Trafford.
The cast includes Chloe Stack as Ms. Mizer, and features Irelyn O’Reilly, Adelaide McLaughlin, Tika Gill, Chloe Bishop, Ava Learn, Connor Schmidt and Lexie Rowling as soloists.
“Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr.” is a musical based on a series of animated educational films that aired on Saturday mornings. The themes cover a variety of educational topics from math to grammar to history with memorable music and choreography.
Tickets are $7 at the door.
Magician will entertain
Super Seniors group
Super Seniors of Westmoreland County will meet at noon April 5 at the Community United Methodist Church, 3487 Route 130, Harrison City.
Entertainment will be magician Eddie Ace. Lunch is $6, reservations are needed from new attendees.

Republican committee
holds information session
The Westmoreland County Republican Committee District 2 is holding an information session at 7 p.m. March 29 at the Penn Area Library, 2001 Municipal Court, Harrison City.
All registered Republicans are invited to attend the event, which will include a presentation, question-and-answer session and light refreshments.
The WCRC District 2 Committee is a nonprofit organization comprised of elected and appointed volunteers who work to find and support candidates for local, state and federal government.
District 2 includes Penn Township, Trafford, Manor and Jeannette.
Rewards available
to Heritage Trail users
Those who commit to making annual donations as members of the Westmoreland Heritage Trail chapter, which helps fund trail projects and maintenance, will be eligible for a new business discount card.
The trail includes 17 miles from Saltsburg to Delmont and from Export to Trafford.
The Westmoreland Trailblazers of the Leadership Westmoreland Class of 2022 has memberships ranging from $20 for an individual, $30 for a family and $50 for a nonprofit organization.
The cards will be awarded to the first 400 members of 2022 and will remain valid until March 2023. The 14 businesses offering discounts are along the trail corridor, including restaurants, a bike shop, a fitness center and kayak and canoe rental shop.
