The Level Green Lions Club is hosting a pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon March 20. The event, which will feature all-you-can-eat pancakes — regular, buckwheat or blueberry — served with sausage and a beverage, will be held at the Level Green Community Building, 123 Murrysville Road.
Tickets cost $6 for adults and $3 for children younger than 12. Proceeds go to Lions charities and local community services.
Restaurant-type provisions adopted during the covid-19 pandemic will be followed.
Penn Area Library celebrates Teen Trailblazers
The Penn Area Library is hosting an event during March celebrating young trailblazers. The event gives children 8 and older the opportunity to learn about eight young women and what they are doing to make a difference in the world.
Those interested can pick up a map of the library from the circulation desk, which will instruct participants to discover new pages to be added to a “Teen Trailblazers” journal.
Questions about the program can be directed to the Children’s Services Department and pennarealibrary2001@gmail.com or by calling 724-744-4414.
Read Across America
The Penn Area Library also is hosting a Read Across America event in March. For every book read, a corresponding state on a map is colored. The goal is to color in all 50 states by the end of the month. To participate, an American map can be picked up at the library.
