Food drive planned by CommunityWomen’s Club of Level Green

The Community Women’s Club of Level Green is seeking nonperishable food donations from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Level Green Lion’s Club Community Building, 123 Murrysville Road.

The drive will benefit the Trafford Food Bank. Items needed include boxed meals, canned goods, cereal, peanut butter, canned meats, pasta and rice.

The club will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 17 at the Level Green Lions Club Community Building. Any woman age 21 or older is welcome.

Manor Lions will hold food drive on Election Day

Manor Lions Club will will hold an Election Day food drive for the Manor Community Food Pantry from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 8 at the borough building on Race Street.

Marked boxes will be available for donations of nonperishable foods and monetary donations will be accepted.

Veterans Day service, lunch set at Trafford American Legion

Trafford American Legion Post 331 will conduct a Veterans Day program from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 11 at the post at 216 Cavitt Ave.

In addition to various speakers, the Penn-Trafford High School Band and Trafford Middle School Eighth Grade Chorus will perform. The Legion auxiliary will provide lunch.

Christmas toy drive begins in Penn Township

Express, an employment agency at 4012 Route 130, Penn Township, is holding a Christmas toy drive from Nov. 7 through Dec. 2.

New, unwrapped gifts can be dropped off at Express from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
