56 new covid cases reported in Penn-Trafford area between April 5-13, 2021

Fifty-six new covid cases were reported in the Penn-Trafford-Jeannette area between April 5-13, according to data from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Since the pandemic began, the six ZIP codes covering most of the three communities have seen a total of 1,934 confirmed cases.

As of April 13, there were 1,014 confirmed coronavirus cases, up by 23 since April 5, in the Jeannette 15644 ZIP code, which covers part of Penn Township. There have been 591 probable cases and 4,731 coronavirus tests with negative results.

In the 15085 ZIP code, which encompasses Trafford and part of North Huntingdon, the state found 476 cases as of April 13, an increase of 28 cases since April 5. There were 208 probable cases in the ZIP code and 1,984 negative test results.

In the Harrison City 15636 ZIP code, there were 243 confirmed cases as of April 13, an increase of one case since April 5. There were 136 probable cases 976 negative results.

In the 15665 ZIP code for Manor, there were 100 confirmed cases. There has been no increase since April 5. There were 63 probable cases and 351 negative results.

In the Penn Borough 15675 ZIP code, there were 52 confirmed cases as of April 13, an increase of one case since April 5. There were 35 probable cases and 235 negative results.

The Claridge 15623 ZIP code had 49 confirmed cases, an increase of three since April 5. As of April 13, there were 18 probable cases and 238 negative test results.

A significant portion of Penn Township is grouped under the Irwin 15642 ZIP code. That ZIP code has seen a total of 2,933 confirmed cases, up by 65 since April 5.

Penn-Trafford School District reported a total of 173 covid cases since the school year began, with six active cases as of April 13.

Westmoreland County has a total of 21,096 confirmed cases, 9,570 probable cases, 713 deaths and 92,870 negative tests since the start of the pandemic.
