One of two women shot Sunday night in Penn Hills has died, authorities said Monday.

She was identified by the Allegheny County County Medical Examiner’s Office as Ojanay Pride, 26, of Pittsburgh’s West Oakland neighborhood.

Allegheny County Police found two women suffering from gunshot wounds after officers were dispatched to the 10000 block of Frankstown Road around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, police said.

Pride died Monday afternoon at an area hospital, authorities said. The other victim remained hospitalized in stable condition.

No arrests have been made. County police are investigating.

The 10000 block of Frankstown Road, which sits in Penn Hills’ Laketon Heights neighborhood, includes about 15 houses, as well as a convenience store, furniture store and tire shop.

The fatal shooting was at least the second near this stretch of Frankstown Road in recent years.

County police said Jahlil Smith, 26, was shot to death in October 2022 in the 9000 block of Frankstown Road in Penn Hills,.

Anyone with information about Sunday’s shooting is asked to call the county police tip line 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
