A 35-year-old man was found shot to death in a Penn Hills home Wednesday, according to Allegheny County Police.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Aaron Evans.

Penn Hills officers went to the home in the 7200 block of Lawton Street around 6:15 p.m. for a reported home invasion.

A preliminary investigation found that the perpetrators had ransacked the home before fleeing the area. Detectives were working to identify the suspects.

Robbery appeared to the motive, county police said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Allegheny County Police tip line at 833-255-8477. Callers can remain anonymous.
