Penn Hills, Verona following national trend of lower covid-19 case numbers as of Feb. 3, 2021

As coronavirus cases begin to rise more slowly in Allegheny County and across the country, Penn Hills and Verona are following that trend.

As of Feb. 3, there have been 2,231 total cases of the novel coronavirus in Penn Hills since March, according to the latest information provided by an interactive Allegheny County covid-19 map. A total of 52 deaths have been reported, and 11,576 tests have been administered to Penn Hills residents. The case rate in Penn Hills is 527 per 10,000 residents.

Since the pandemic began, Verona has had 113 cases. One death has been reported, and 680 tests have been administered to Verona residents. The case rate in Verona is 457 per 10,000 residents.
