After deliberating for less than two hours, a federal jury on April 18 found a Penn Hills man guilty of three counts of violating federal drug and firearms laws.
According to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania, Harry Duncan, 36, was convicted of drug possession with intent to distribute, possession of firearms by a convicted felon as well as aiding and abetting the straw purchase of three firearms.
A search of Duncan’s residence in November 2022 yielded over 1,000 stamp bags of fentanyl, as well as unpackaged fentanyl powder, powder cocaine and crack cocaine, according to the Attorney’s Office.
Detectives seized several other items, the release continues, including drug packaging materials, cash, 11 cellphones, a Ruger AR-556 semi-automatic rifle, a Winchester 12-gauge shotgun and ammunition.
Duncan is scheduled for sentencing Aug. 29. He faces a maximum of 40 years in prison, a fine of up to $2.5 million or both, according to the Attorney’s Office.
