A Penn Hills man has been charged with indecent assault and other crimes in connection with an incident in Frick Park.

Pittsburgh Public Safety spokeswoman Cara Cruz said Isaiah Rivers, 19, allegedly made inappropriate contact with a woman who was running along the park’s Tranquil Trail around 5:15 p.m. Sunday.

A woman told police a man she believed to be in his 20s approached her from behind.

The man, later identified as Rivers, allegedly proceeded to fondle her. She got away and called the police, Cruz reported.

Another person reported a man matching Rivers’ description was inside the Frick Park Lawn Bowl committing a sexual act and recording himself on a phone before filming a woman in the area, Cruz reported.

Police arrived and made contact with Rivers, who was identified by the first victim.

He is charged with indecent assault, indecent exposure, harassment and open lewdness. He was transported to the Allegheny County Jail. Online documents show he was released on unsecured bail.

Rivers’ preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 2 at Pittsburgh Municipal Court, online court documents show.
