Norwin-Penn-Trafford Democrats to meet

The Norwin/Penn Trafford Area Democrats will have the chance to hear the Democratic candidates running in the May 16 primary for the party’s nomination to local, county and state offices, during a meeting at 6 p.m. April 6 at the Norwin Public Library, Caruthers Lane, Irwin.

Immaculate Conception Church group to hold card party

A card party and board games will be played at the Spring Fling Card Party planned for 6 p.m. April 20 in the Immaculate Conception Church’s Our Lady’s Plaza, 308 Second St. Irwin.

The Christian Mothers/Women’s Guild of Immaculate Conception Church is sponsoring the event, which will feature a light dinner at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $15 per person and seating is limited.

Easter egg hunt slated

Children up to age 12 can participate in a free Easter season egg hunt at 12:30 p.m. April 16 outside Resurrection Hall at St. Agnes Catholic Church, at 11400 St. Agnes Lane, North Huntingdon.

There will be lunch and prizes.

West Newton Library to hold story time

The West Newton Library will holds its story time for youngsters at 10 a.m. Wednesdays through May 24.

The story “Bouncing with Bunny” is planned for April 12 and ” Windy Weather” is set for April 19. “I Love Mom” is planned for May 17.

There will be activities, snacks and stories. Children of all ages are welcome, with an adult.

Bus trip planned

A motor coach trip to Sugarcreek, Ohio, to see the show, “A Soldier Boy” is planned for May 11 by Virgie Smith of North Irwin.

The price is $175 and it includes admission to the show and lunch. There will be stops for shopping and a visit to a winery.

Smith is organizing the trip under her Grandma Moose’s Happy Travelers.
