Bands, singers to perform in Irwin

Several bands and singers will perform free concerts in different locations in downtown Irwin on June 15.

The Music in the Streets performances will begin at 5:30 p.m. with Band Anna at the Fifth Street parking lot and Lois Scott singing at The Lamp Theatre Courtyard, both performing until 8:30 p.m. From 6 to 9 p.m., Barbara Blue will perform Fourth and Main Streets; from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Casey Livingston will sing at the Colonial Grille Tap Room, 333 Main St., and Willow Hill will play from 8 to 11 p.m. in the basement of Brandy’s on Main, 200 Main St.

Norwin Class of 1961 to gather

The Norwin High School Class of 1961 will celebrate the 80th birthday of members of the class during a gathering from 3 to 7 p.m. Aug. 12 at Ferrante’s Lakeview restaurant on Route 30, east of Greensburg.

The class has held the gatherings for similar birthday celebrations, said Allen Martin of Hempfield, a class member.

The cost is $25 per person. For more information contact Martin at 724-864-1140.
