There’s still time to sign up for a free seminar on Tuesday that will cover the basics of Medicare, when and how to enroll and common misconceptions about how the program works.
Experts from United Healthcare will be on hand to outline the program and answer questions from people eligible for Medicare benefits as well as their their families and caregivers.
Representatives also will be available to speak one-on-one with people attending the program.
The annual enrollment period for Medicare runs from Oct. 15 to Dec. 7.
Two sessions will be offered starting at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Ross Township Municipal Center, 1000 Ross Municipal Drive.
Representatives from Walgreens pharmacy also will be present to do free blood pressure checks and to staff an “Ask a Pharmacist” booth.

People who can’t make it to the Sept. 17 seminar in Ross can participate in a series of online webinars Sept. 17, 18 and 19 that will cover a variety of Medicare topics.
