North Allegheny offering free meals to all students

The North Allegheny School District is using a federal grant it recently received to provide free meals to all students for in-person and remote instruction.

Details about meal ordering and pickup were sent to all families via email.

Meal pickup on remote learning days will be every Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Families can use the order form sent by email to select the site where they will pick up meals.

Questions about the meal program can be emailed to DiningServices@northallegheny.org.

North Hills senior portraits due Nov. 15

Senior portraits for the North Hills High School Class of 2021 are due by Sunday, Nov. 15.

Portraits submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

Portraits can be submitted by an online form or on a compact disc to the Athletic & Activities Office, Attention: Yearbook.

Complete guidelines for submitting photos are available online.

Students must be logged into their district Google account to view the form.

NA hosting ‘virtual’ alumni reunion

For the first time, alumni of the North Allegheny School District will gather for a ‘virtual’ reunion at 7 p.m. on Oct. 17.

In addition the chance to connect with former classmates and school leaders, the event will feature a special musical performance.

The cost is $20 per person and includes a NA pint glass. A private event link will be emailed to guests the week before the event. Money raised from the reunion will help support the North Allegheny Foundation’s efforts to enhance students’ educational experience with grants for teachers and the Angel Fund to help students facing hardship.

Property tax installment plan

Residents of the North Allegheny School District who want to pay their 2020-21 school taxes in installments should already have received their coupons by mail.

The second payment is due by Oct. 31 and the third installment must be received by Dec. 31.

Anyone who has not yet received their payment coupons can call tax collector Kristin Losco at 412-364-4848.
