18th Annual Cindystock
Cindystock, the annual outdoor music festival at the Wexford-Bayne Road home of founders Cindy and Ted Yates, is set for 4 p.m. Aug. 21. Riversong String Ensemble, Blues Orphans and Canaan Cox will all take the stage. The event will help to underwrite local cancer screening tests and support services. Touch-A-Truck
Baierl Family YMCA in Franklin Park will host a Touch-A-Truck display, an interactive sports exhibition by Coach Dave Gray (CDG Sports), carnival-style games and prizes, obstacle course, face painting and food trucks on Aug. 29 from 2-5 p.m.
The goal of the event is to increase exposure and membership in the Y’s Adventure Guides-Parent/Child Program.
