The weekly farmers market in Cranberry Township will kick off the 2020 season from 3 to 7 p.m. July 10.

To help boost the weekly event, a Cranberry couple, who have asked to remain anonymous, donated the $2,400 stimulus money they received to support local small businesses.

The money will be used to provide a 50% discount for a 12-week vendor permit to the first 20 businesses that apply.

To be eligible, businesses must operate in Cranberry or Zelienople and offer food or products for sale at the farmers market.

The farmers market, sponsored by the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber, is held each Friday through Oct. 23 at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center.

For more information or to reserve space, contact the chamber at 724-934-9700 or send an email to acairns@pghnorthchamber.com.
