A covid-19 vaccination clinic has been set up at the Franklin Park municipal building for people 12 and older.

The clinic is being operated by California-based Curative, which began operating in the region earlier this year with a series of mobile coronavirus testing sites, including one in North Park in January.

Registration is required to be vaccinated. The shots are free, but people are asked to bring their health insurance cards to the site.

The company is administering the Pfizer vaccine, which requires two separate injections. People who already have received the first dose can choose the second one when they register.

The online registration site indicates the number of appointments available each day. The clinic is scheduled to operate weekdays through June 17 with the exception of Memorial Day, May 31.

The municipal building is located at 2344 West Ingomar Road.

The state Department of Health on Monday reported that 10.2 million people in Pennsylvania or 56.7% of the population have received at least one dose of the vaccine. Statewide, 51.8% of the population 18 and older are fully vaccinated, according to health officials.
