To reduce impact on local traffic, contractors working along a stretch of Brandt School Road in Franklin Park will begin around-the-clock shifts starting Monday night, according to the Allegheny County Department of Public Works.

Work between Corporate Drive and Wexford Bayne Road already is being done between 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Contractors will add a 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. shift to the project, which involves drainage repairs; concrete pavement rehabilitation; milling and paving; and new curbs, sidewalks, guide rail, signs and pavement markings.

Short traffic stops will be required in the work zone throughout the project, which is expected to last until September. Flaggers will be stationed along the road to control traffic.
